河南省对口升学阅读理解题要求考生能读懂难度相当于所学课文的不同题材和体裁的文字材料。文字材料的生词率不超过3%。要求考生通过阅读能够把握其中心思想和主要内容，能对相关信息进行分析和推理判断。

题型特征：

总数为两篇，每篇文章出5道选择题，每个题4个选项。每道题2分，共20分。占全卷分值比例为20%。每篇词数大约200——300词。话题为英美国家情况或日常生活热点话题。比如：

2020年两篇文章分别为：1.许多国家人的周末生活 2.中国人学英语

2021年两篇文章为：1.获得淡水方法 2.颜色科普

常见出题方式：

细节判断，在原文原句中能直接找到答案信息。占4——6道题。

推理判断，原文原句信息或篇章信息需要经过简单的推理，计算，判断才能得出答案。占比1——3道题。

猜测词义，根据上下文情景判断词义。占0——2道题。

主旨大意，对全篇文章进行归纳总结，找到中心思想或主题，或者为文章拟定题目。占0——1道题。

做题思路与方法技巧：

由于阅读题涉及语篇阅读与理解，许多基础差的学生没有耐心阅读，依靠猜测和蒙的方式去答题，正确几率非常低。

其实，根据中职生的实际情况，命题人所选文章和设置题目的难度不会很大，阅读题其实是最容易得分的题。只要考生具备观察力，就可以得到细节判断题的分，可以得大约8——12分。略微有些英语基础的学生经过简单的推断，猜测，归纳完全可以得更高的分数或者满分。
